DIRECTORS

CLASS Agency’s Board of Directors and staff have always been committed to providing excellent consumers’ services since its inception in 2003.   Over the years, the agency’s Board of Directors and staff have acquired the training, credentials, licenses, and relationships essential to provide quality care in the prevention and treatment professional community.  The leaderships’ overall goal is for the agency to expand its services and to ultimately position itself as one of Wayne County’s premier healthcare providers.

Leslie D. Best

Leslie D. Best is a senior engineering executive with over 27 years in the automotive and transportation sectors She provides mentoring, coaching and support for local schools in STEAM education and careers. Leslie currently serves on both public corporate boards as well as several non-profit boards focused on alleviating issues facing youth and young adults. At the non-profit level, she serves on 6 Boards on top of being the Board Chair for the C.L.A.S.S. Agency.

LaRonda Chastang

LaRonda serves as Trinity Health’s National Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Prior to her current role, she served as the Assistant Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Michigan Medicine and the Senior Program Manager at the State of Michigan where she managed the States comprehensive agreement with the Centers for Disease Control. LaRonda holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for 3 non-Profits.

Eilea Murray

Jeanine Brunson

Eilea Murray is a retired Parole/Probation officer of the Michigan Department of Corrections. After her era of service to the criminal justice system, Eilea began to dedicate her time to helping the community in other ways. This new chapter introduced Eilea to the work of CLASS where she now sits on the Board of Directors. With her position Eilea aims to help guide the agency and support its goals wholeheartedly as it creates a safe space for children and adults to thrive through drug intervention and prevention.

Jeanine Brunson believes that treatment and prevention programs, like those offered at CLASS, are critical to the health of our community. A community is only as strong as its families. Providing support to those who are struggling benefits everyone. Jeanine was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Spelman College and a Law Degree from Tulane University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Jodie Sanders
William Washington

Dr. Jodie Sanders is a recent graduate with a doctorate in public health with an extensive background in clinical research and public health. A Detroit native born and bread, Dr. Sangers is and a product of the Detroit Public School System. She is also a mother of 1 lovely child and 2 adorable fur babies. Additionally her personal experience with substance abuse and addiction from both sides of my family places the work we do close to her heart. Helping the community that she comes from is a passion for Dr. Sanders and she looks forward to the great programs and opportunities that the C.L.A.S.S Agency has to offer.

Mr. Washington is a retired educator and administrator from the Detroit and Oak Park school districts. Starting his journey as a teacher in Detroit in 1986 he later moved to the Oak Park school system as a principal at four different schools from 1997 - 2020. He has received a B.A. from Dillard University in 1985, Elementary Education. Later obtaining his M.A. from Western Michigan University in 1986 in Reading, and finally in 1997 and finally an Ed.S. from Wayne State University in Educational Leadership. Mr. Washington retired in January of 2020. Today he remains active within his church, fraternity and enjoys traveling and supporting the Southfield, MI, School District as a guest teacher.

LaTresa Eason-Worthy

LaTresa Eason-Worthy grew up in Detroit, Michigan with her parents and three siblings. She was Educated in both Detroit Catholic and Public Schools. LaTresa attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a Concentration in Criminal Justice. In her professional career she has spent years working in various sectors under the umbrella of child support and human services including Participating on several Diversity Equity and Inclusion committees, and served on the Community Outreach team as a co-lead for the Office of Child Support Community Advisory Council. LaTresa is a recipient of the Michigan Department of Human Services Black Excellence Award in 2022. LaTresa is passionate about serving her community.
